Install PB Play and enable notifications
Add PB Play to your Home Screen and allow browser alerts to receive website notifications and an app-icon badge on supported devices. Set this up once on each phone or tablet.

- Open PB Play from its Home Screen icon and sign in. In Chat, open Notification settings, choose Enable browser alerts, then tap Allow on the phone’s permission prompt.
- In the phone’s Settings → Notifications → PB Play, turn on Allow Notifications and Badges. Choose banners and sounds to suit you.
Android
Use Chrome; notification dots and numbers vary by phone and Home Screen app.
- Open PB Play in Chrome. In the ⋮ menu, choose Install app or Add to Home screen. Some versions put Install under Install and create shortcut. Follow the prompts.
- Open PB Play from its Home Screen icon and sign in. In Chat, open Notification settings, choose Enable browser alerts, then tap Allow on the permission prompt.
- In the phone’s notification settings, allow notifications for PB Play or Chrome. Enable notification dots or app-icon badges if that option is available.

Website-only notices do not send SMS or email. Other SMS and event email choices are separate preferences.
If you previously blocked notifications, allow them in your phone or browser settings, then return to Chat and enable browser alerts. Focus or Do Not Disturb can silence alerts. If Enable browser alerts is unavailable, contact the organizer or support.
Background alerts can appear in the phone’s notification list as well as on its app icon. Use the phone’s notification settings to control banners and sounds.

Ladder League
Ladder League rules
Ladder League uses published rounds and pools. Open the event rules for its standings formula, seeding, participation and movement policy. Pool assignments depend on the event's format, eligible teams and round; the event's Teams page explains the applicable pool order. The organizer publishes rounds and reviews starting placement.
Box League
Box League rules
Doubles teams play every other team in their box during each round. Boxes default to three teams and use the shared ladder pool-size setting before Round 1. Boxes are pools of teams, equivalent to ladder league pools. Each box ranks its teams for that round to determine movement; there are no overall team standings. The league uses the shared ladder Calendar, Scheduler and Players pages; Matches shows teams within their boxes. Initial boxes follow team registration seed order. Once round 1 is set, the same boxes and their team counts remain for the league. Later rounds do not create, remove, resize or rebalance boxes; teams only move up one box, down one box, or stay in the same box. At the round deadline, the organizer records any forfeits using the Event forfeit scores, then closes the round. Remaining unfinished matches are marked Unplayed: neither team earns a win, and no scored points or completed match are added. Teams rank by wins, matches completed, point difference, points scored, then original team seed. The best team moves up one box, the lowest moves down one box, and the remaining teams stay; the top-box winner and bottom-box loser stay at the boundary. Movement uses only results within that box in that round. Organizers may fill a team vacancy or permanently replace a partner through Players & Teams after the current round closes and before the next draw. The replacement retains the same box place and seed; past teams, lineups and results remain unchanged. Fill vacancies before creating the next draw. Unplayed is not a 0-0 score or a draw. Corrections to earlier rounds require rewinding later rounds before rebuilding movement.
Box League results and unfinished matches
Open Matches in the Box League event and select the correct round. Find the correct teams and game column. Enter both scores in the stacked boxes, following the displayed team order. Review both teams and their scores in the confirmation, then choose Submit score to save or Keep editing to return to the entered values. Wait for the page to refresh after submitting. The next required game opens as earlier games are recorded. If the Event requires a saved schedule, arrange it through the shared Calendar and Scheduler before entering scores. Use Forfeit in the match menu to request individual games or the whole match, subject to organizer approval. Select consecutive unplayed games. The match length and number of wins needed follow the event settings; unnecessary later games are disabled. An authorized organizer reviews results and uses Close Round in Event Hub, Rounds when manual closure is available; Events with automatic advancement follow their configured deadline policy. Remaining unfinished matches become Unplayed: neither team earns a win, scored points or a completed match. Do not enter 0-0 for an unplayed match. Use Request correction when available for an incorrect posted result, or ask the organizer. Review any later draw before changing an earlier round.
Box League teams and participation
Box League uses fixed doubles teams of exactly two players. Each team plays every other team in its box for that round. Open Matches for round-local box membership, scores and movement; there are no overall team standings. The shared Players & Teams page manages the roster, and Calendar and Scheduler arrange play. New leagues default to three teams per box; the organizer chooses the initial size before Round 1, and later box counts and capacities stay fixed. Ask the organizer about absences, substitutes or permanent partner/team changes. Permanent replacements use the shared Players & Teams controls after the current round closes and before the next draw, retaining the same box place and historical results.
Challenge Ladder
Challenge Ladder rules
Fixed entrants challenge one to five places above them. Each entrant may have one pending or accepted challenge. The higher ranked entrant must accept and help arrange play; refusing is a forfeit. A challenger win, including a forfeit, moves the challenger into the defender’s position and shifts the intervening entrants down one place. A defender win leaves the order unchanged. The organizer handles unanswered challenges and scheduling problems. Singles and fixed doubles use the shared registration, match scoring, substitution, calendar and scheduler frameworks. Create Challenge League with the shared Event tools and review the initial order on Matches before the first challenge. Each division has its own ladder.
Arrange a Challenge Ladder match
After the organizer starts Challenge League, open Matches to see current ranks and eligible opponents. Issue a challenge up to five places above you. The challenged entrant chooses Accept challenge, then both entrants use Match Calendar and Scheduler to agree play. Forfeit challenge records a forfeit and applies leapfrog movement. An organizer can cancel a pending challenge or record a defender forfeit for refusal or failure to make a reasonable scheduling effort. Enter results through the normal match score controls. PB Play’s separate Challenge action on a posted score requests a score or player correction; it does not issue an opponent challenge.
